Performance specification of DiviTum™
As serum thymidine kinase activity is an established marker for monitoring disease progression in blood malignancies, it is interesting to compare the sensitivity of DiviTum™ to existing methods (TK-REA). It is the increased sensitivity that is opening up the application on solid tumors.

This experiment made by successively diluting a suspension of TK-positive CEM cells shows that the novel assay is capable of detecting a hundredfold less TK activity than the traditional TK-REA assay. |

Strong correlation is obtained between the novel assay and a traditional TK-REA assay as seen on this experiment on a cohort of sera from cancer patients. This shows that all published data on the application on hematological malignancies (expressing high TK-levels) are valid also for DiviTum™. |
