About DiviTum®
How the assay works
The thymidine kinase activity is determined by capturing the product of the enzyme reaction on the walls of a microtiter plate, serving as solid phase. The reaction product thus bound to the solid phase next binds a monoclonal antibody conjugated to an enzyme. The activity of this enzyme is determined using a chromogenic substrate. The product is quantified photometrically. The results are evaluated using software developed specifically for this assay, based on Microsoft Excel.
The assay does not require any special competence from the operator, and sampling and handling are those in normal laboratory routine. The test results are ready in 24 hours. 40 samples can be run in duplicate in each kit. The procedure is well adapted for laboratory automates.
